Croatian goalkeeper Danijel Subašić has been named the best goalkeeper in France’s Ligue 1.
Subašić kept a clean sheet for his side AS Monaco in their 4-0 win over Lille on the weekend, almost assuring them the title.
On Monday there was more good news for the Croatian stopper when he was named the best goalkeeper in France’s Ligue 1. Only two other foreigners have won the award.
The 2015 and 2016 winner of the award was Steve Mandanda, who now plays for Crystal Palace in the English Premiership.

Subašić, who has 29 caps for Croatia, joined AS Monaco in January 2012 from Hajduk Split when they were in the Ligue 2. In 2014-5 he enjoyed an impressive run of not conceding a goal in Ligue 1 in 842 minutes.
