UberBOAT, an on-demand boat service, has officially kicked off its world operations in Split on the Croatian coast yesterday.
UberBOAT will connect the many islands on the Dalmatian coast with the mainland and on Friday in Split, it officially had its world premiere of its services.
UberBOAT offers boat rides from the city of Split to the Island of Hvar or vice versa. Additionally, there are full or half day trips from Split, Hvar or Dubrovnik to any island in the Adriatic all at the push of a button.
“UberBOAT services became available for the first time yesterday in Split, Dubrovnik, and Hvar. Already we had a number of transfers, from Split to Bol, from Dubrovnik to Stari Grad on Hvar, and from Split to Ugljan,” Davor Tremac, Director of Uber for South East Europe said.
“We are confident that soon we will extend our service to other places like Šibenik, Zadar, and Korčula. We have no doubt that UberBOAT will significantly increase sea cruises on demand and at the same time contribute to the overall growth of Croatian tourism.”
