Construction work at the site of a new 600-million kuna hotel in Rovinj has taken a break over the summer tourist season, but the site has not been left to just be an eyesore.

To enhance the aesthetic valorisation of the construction site, seven cranes, towering up to 48 meters high in the air, have been decoratively illuminated, creating an impressive vision from the city center.

The light-show attraction at the construction site will be active until the reopening of works in September this year, Maistra, the firm behind the new hotel says.

The new hotel, which is planned to open next summer, will have 209 rooms, 6 restaurants, spa and wellness centre, congress room, shopping promenade, and views out to Rovinj town.
