Alitalia returns to Croatia

Alitalia will launch flights between Rome and Dubrovnik on Croatia’s southern Dalmatian coast this weekend.

Italy’s national airline earlier this month began flights between Rome and Split as it returned to Croatia after a two-year absence.

Alitalia will fly twice weekly to Dubrovnik, on Sundays and Tuesdays, from Rome Fiumicino Airport starting on 23 July 2017.

The flights will depart on Tuesdays from Fiumicino at 4 pm and from Dubrovnik at 6.10pm, whilst on Sunday, they depart from Rome at 6.50 am and from Dubrovnik at 9 am.

The services, as with the Split, will be operated with Airbus 319 and 320 aircraft until 10 September.

After an absence of 2 years, Alitalia has re-introduced flights to Croatia due to the high demand from Italian tourists with Split and Dubrovnik seen as popular spots.

Italian tourists were Croatia’s 5th ranked for the number of arrivals, with 1,119,000 Italian visitors last year arriving.
