441,000 Croatians Living in Germany, Latest Stats Reveal

At the end of last year, there were 441,000 people either born in Croatia or with one parent who was a Croatian citizen, living in Germany, according to the latest statistics on Foreigners in Germany which the Federal Statistical Office revealed on Tuesday.
The statistics not only captured Croatian citizens now residing in Germany but also those who had German passports but had parents with direct Croatian roots.
The average age of those identifying as Croatians in Germany was 38, with 34,000 having a Bachelor’s degree or higher, the statistics also revealed.
According to the statistics last year alone 55,000 Croatian citizens moved to Germany.
Last year a record 18.6 million people with an immigrant background were living in Germany, which is 22.5% of the country’s total population.
