When visiting Croatia, one of the best and most common advice on what to visit you will hear is the beautiful historical region of Dalmatia – the narrow belt of the east shore of the Adriatic Sea which is packed with visitors during its summer peaks in July and August.

The largest city in Dalmatia is Split located in the southern part of Dalmatian coast and you know how they say; “The more south you go, the nicer it gets”.

Really small coffee shop but with big dedication for making really good coffee. Here they provide freshly roasted coffee espresso and filter type of brewing.

It has only two stools inside but you can enjoy a tasty cup of coffee on the street in front of the shop which puts the atmosphere on another level. While doing this you will probably meet a lot of locals since they really like to take a day break in this place.

Although opened in July, this new and very chic place already received some excellent reviews. This doesn’t surprise cause the owners are already renowned on the gastro scene of Split. After they made a big success with restaurant Bokeria dedicated to tasty Mediterranean cuisine, this time they went for something different and believe us they know what they are talking about.

Bokamorra is the first fine dining pizza restaurant in Split and for the ideas, they even traveled to Napoli. So as you can imagine here you can try out some really tasty pizza. In addition to that rich cocktail list is made for you to enjoy hot summer nights in Split.

This Split born pastry chef is in love with her job and that is the reason why here you can have some of the best cakes in Croatia. Famous people like Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson, Michael Douglas and Roger Federer already tried Tea’s sweet inventions, so now you are invited too.

Galerija Meštrović

Galerija Meštrović

This is one of the breathtaking places in Split, ideal for a nice summer stroll, quiet contemplation and a great chance to see the work of worldwide known sculptor Ivan Meštrović. Famous Croatian sculptor designed this beautiful sea-facing building in the beginning of the 20th century in the elite quarter of Split by the sea.

In this area called Meje he wanted to settle down permanently, but at the end, he didn’t spend as much time he wanted to because of World War II. Today this family villa and studio function as a gallery open to the public with two floors of his sculptures, paintings and with a beautiful sculpture park. Even the furniture in the gallery is designed by Ivan Meštrović.
