Hard Rock International, who operate the Hard Rock Cafe brand, including Hard Rock Hotels, is interested in opening hotels in Croatia.
Josh Littman, Vice President of Development for Hotels at Hard Rock International based in London, has told Poslovni.hr that they are currently intensively looking at a number of locations in Croatia to open.
“Croatia is a very interesting market for us, because it blends into our business philosophy with a rich culture, the hotels will be 4 or 5 *, and all of them will connect music as a symbol,” he said, adding that the locations of Split, Dubrovnik, Zagreb and the northern Adriatic are locations of interest.
Littman will arrive in Zagreb next week to attend the Rexpo investment conference in the Croatian capital where he expects to meet potential partners in Croatia.
Hard Rock International is interested in a number of options, from direct investment to a franchise model for the Hard Rock Hotels.
Hard Rock International operates in 75 countries with a portfolio of 176 Hard Rock cafes, 24 hotels and 11 casinos.
They are owners of the global license for all 11 Hard Rock brands with their famous cafes located in most major cities around the world.
Hard Rock Hotels have a music theme and guests are able to order their own playlist during their stay. Music is also actively used in their Rock Spa wellness, with some hotels having a Rock Shop on site.
“Our hotels range from 100 to 2000 rooms depending on the market and there are no rules, but let’s say that the average is between 200 and 400. Our hotels are a gathering place, a venue for concerts and other entertainment events where we work with local musicians,” explained Littman.
Littman revealed that they are looking to open 10 new Hard Rock Hotels in Europe, including in London and Berlin, whilst hotels in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, New York, Ottawa and China are in development.
Along with Croatia, they are also reportedly interested in opening in other parts of the region.
