Big Success for Croatia at 2017 World Tap Dance Championships in Germany

Big success for the Croatian team at the 2017 World Tap Dance Championships held recently in Riesa, Germany.
The Croatian team returned home from Germany with a number of medals, including two golds, as the best dancers battled it out at the 20th anniversary of the championships.
The two golds for Croatia were won by dance studio Step by Step, one in the children’s formation category for their ‘Dr. Jazz’ routine, and the second for their ‘Run boy run’ routine.
Croatia also won two silver medals with thanks to senior small group ‘Hit the road Jack’, and step formation ‘Memories’.
Tanja Bertalanić won bronze in the junior solo category, as did the junior small group and formation under the choreography of A. Maričić.
Tia Tkalčević also won bronze in the solos female adults category, while Karla Šilović and Fran Žuglić won bronze in the duos. Mihael Tosic and Nika Lazo won bronze in the junior duos.
Step by step also picked up bronze for ‘Nutcracker’ in the formations – junior category.
A great effort from the Croatian teams to share the podium at the championships with dance teams from the UK, Russia, the United States and Canada, nations with a tradition in tap dance.
