Croatian Town Makes TripAdvisor’s 10 World Destinations On The Rise

The world’s largest travel site, with over 500 million unbiased traveler reviews, has included one town in Croatia in its TOP 10 Top World Destinations on the Rise.

TripAdvisor today announced the Travelers’ Choice® awards for Destinations on the Rise with the Istrian town of Rovinj coming in at No.8 on the list.

The awards were based on measuring the year-over-year increase in positive TripAdvisor traveler review ratings for accommodations, restaurants, and attractions, as well as an increase in search and booking interest.

“The Travelers’ Choice Destinations on the Rise award winners are a great source of inspiration for travelers interested in going somewhere exciting that’s emerging in popularity,” Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications for TripAdvisor, said.

“These winners were based on destination feedback and interest from the TripAdvisor community, and a common thread is that they all have outstanding accommodations, wonderful restaurants and exceptional attractions for every travel budget.”

Ishigaki in Japan was No.1, whilst the small Hawaiian town of Kapaa, located on the island of Kauai ranked No.2.
