PHOTOS: Jon Snow & Cersei Lannister Filming for Game of Thrones in Dubrovnik

Filming for the finale Season 8 of hit HBO series Game of Thrones started in Dubrovnik this week.
A number of locations around Dubrovnik are being used as locations for filming scenes this week. Security levels have been high with the production keen to not reveal any details to the public.
On Thursday a couple of the show’s main characters – Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) were spied meeting at King’s Landing.

“Snow and Cersei will finally meet in the King’s Landing, as it seems. In this scene, we Snow is sitting down, while Cersei is standing – talking to him. Does it mean he’s in charge now?,” writes The Dubrovnik Times.

Another character – The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) was also spied on Thursday, as too were producers David Benioff and Daniel Weiss.

Thursday is set to be the final day of filming in Dubrovnik. Season 8 will not hit screens until 2019.
