Dinamo Zagreb Secure UEFA Champions League Play-Off After Beating F.C. Astana

Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb beaten FC Astana from Kazakhstan 1-0 on Tuesday night at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League .
Mario Gavranović’s 74th minute was enough to give Dinamo Zagreb the victory in front of 12,000 fans in the Zagreb and a 3-0 win on aggregate after the Croatians won 2-0 last week in Kazakhstan.
The win means the Croatian club is just one tie away from reaching the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Dinamo was in control of the second leg match tonight with their lead never looking in doubt. Dinamo created a couple of first-half chances whilst Astana created just the one.
Dinamo took the lead with just over 15 minutes left when Gavranović headed home Leovac’s cross.
Dinamo Zagreb will now face BSC Young Boys from Switzerland for a place in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League.
They are guaranteed a place in the UEFA Europa League if they fail to beat BSC Young Boys.
