The Croatia-made electric supercar has been on show in America this week.
Car enthusiasts in California had the chance to check out the new pure electric GT hypercar produced by Croatia’s Rimac Automobili when it went on show at the Monterey Car Week this weekend.
The California edition of the Rimac C_Two, featuring a captivating blue colour and trim and new wheels design, attracted a large number of motorsport enthusiasts and car collectors on the rolling greens of The Quail Lodge & Golf Club for the exclusive A Motorsport Gathering event.
Among them was one famous face – American comedian, actor, host and car enthusiast Jay Leno. Leno was at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club and spent some time checking out the Rimac C_Two before chatting with CEO Mate Rimac.
Leno, who hosted The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for 18 years and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame, now hosts an hour-long show about cars and motorbikes called Jay Leno’s Garage.
Leno is no stranger to Rimac after checking out the earlier Concept_One in 2016.
“We were surprised how much Jay Leno knew about the Concept_One. He seems like such a genuinely great guy and a true car freak. We can’t wait to get him behind the steering wheel,” Rimac said at the time.
The Rimac C_Two, which has a battery range of 650 km, can go from 0-60 mph in just 1.85 seconds and has 1,914 horsepower from its all-electric powertrain. The top speed is a mind-blowing 412 km/ph and it can reach 300 km/ph in just over 11 seconds.
