More than 7,500 different type of strudels were shared out during the 3rd ŠtrudlaFest in Jaškovo on the weekend.
The small central Croatian town, which entered the Guinness Book of Records for the world’s longest strudel, was the place to be on Sunday for strudel lovers as ŠtrudlaFest was held.
Visitors had the chance to try over 60 different strudels at more than 50 stands. Whilst there was an abundance of the traditional apple and cherry strudels, there were some other more unique fillings, such as lavender, lamb, and beans and garlic.
There will also a contest to find the best strudel which was won by Kristina Novosel from Hotel Amarilis for her strudel with pears, fresh cheese and almonds.
There were also workshops for young and old to learn all about the famous pastry, including how the record 1.4-metre Guinness record strudel was made.
Guests at the festival included chefs Branko Ognjenović and Tomislav Špiček.
