Zadar Airport welcomes 600,000th passenger for first time in its history

Zadar Airport on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast has welcomed its 600,000th passenger for the first time in its history on Friday night. 

Last night Jagoda Mihalenec arrived at Zadar Airport on Croatia Airlines flight OU632 from Zagreb to become the airport’s 600,000th passenger in 2018. Mihalenec was gifted a return airline ticket to the destination of her choice by the Zadar Airport director Josip Klišmanić. 

This is the first time the airport has passed the 600,000 mark in a calendar year, breaking last year’s record of 589,000. 

“Zadar Airport has grown year by year, and indications for the 2019 season are promising not only a continuation of this trend but a significant increase in the number of passengers and greater accessibility of Zadar and Zadar region,” Klišmanić said.

Last month the world’s leading travel guide, Lonely Planet, named Zadar in its top 10 cities to visit in 2019.
