Tamburica & Mandolin – in joy together in Kaštel Lukšić

Folklore ensemble KUD 7 Kaštela, who has been dancing and singing non-stop for the last 38 years, is once again organising a big free Christmas concert.
The concert, which is titled Tamburica & Mandolin – in joy together, will take place on 15 December 2018 from 8 pm at Pastoral Centre in Kaštel Lukšić near the city of Split and will feature a number of other folklore ensembles and klapa groups.
“With this concert, we want to promote the joy of Christmas and togetherness during the holiday season and connect culture, songs and customs of our societies and associations as well as the different parts of Croatia, ”organisers KUD 7 Kaštela said.

KUD 7 Kaštela was formed in 1980 and is the oldest folklore society in Kaštela.
“We proudly carry the name from our town ‘7 Kaštela’. All these years, the ensemble has worked uninterrupted and we can proudly say that hundreds of dancers and singers have been through the society, some of which are still very active today.”
Through their programme, KUD 7 Kaštela performs original and choreographed dance customs of Croatia, including old dances from Kaštela, Trogir, Split, Korčula, Dubrovnik (Linđo), Vrlika, Posavina and Ražanac.
