FIFA Museum showcase Ivan Perišić’s World Cup man of the match boots

21 December 2018 – The FIFA Museum in Zurich, Switzerland is home to a fascinating collection of football history. 

Opened in 2016, the FIFA Museum boasts over 1000 exhibits, 4000 books and texts, and more than 1400 photographs and has quickly turned into a tourist attraction in the Swiss city. 

On Friday, the FIFA Museum announced that the boots of Ivan Perišić which he wore in the 2018 World Cup semi-final against England are now on display in their showcase. 

“It was his equalising goal and winning assist against England that made Ivan Perišić the Man of the Match and secured Croatia’s first World Cup Final. His boots are in our 2018 World Cup showcase, to remember his performance and incredible achievement with Croatia,” FIFA Museum said.

Croatia created history in Russia and won the hearts of many around the world. 

After Danijel Subašić saved three penalties in the shoot-out against Denmark to help Croatia advance to the quarterfinal, and with it equalling the record for the most saves in history in World Cup penalty shoot-outs, officials took his jersey to also be displayed in the FIFA Museum in Zurich.
