3 March 2019 – The popular U.S.-based network HGTV – which produces high-quality reality programming with a focus on home improvement and real estate – is launching a new show this month called “Mediterranean Life”.
According to HGTV’s website, the new show “follows potential homeowners as they look for homes in the Mediterranean”. The inaugural season will feature episodes filmed in the coastal regions of Croatia, Spain, France, and Greece.
The show is currently set to launch on the evening of March 10 in the U.S. It appears that at least one episode filmed in mainland Dalmatia will air on the channel while another episode set on the island of Brač is currently available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video.
You may remember Jelena Žanko and her story of how she became a Croatian citizen which we featured in July of 2018. She will be appearing as the featured home seeker in the “Mountains and Sea Views in Croatia” episode airing on March 24 at 9:30pm Central Time.
For those outside the U.S., the episode synopsis reads as follows: “After pursing her career in cities across the world, a woman is returning to her parents’ home country of Croatia. She dreams of reconnecting with nature, switching to a healthier, more relaxed lifestyle and being closer to her family in a traditional, cozy home.
We hope you will tune in to watch Jelena as she searches for her dream home on the Dalmatian coast! Follow Jelena’s Coastal Croatia Instagram page for additional updates and photos.
HGTV is currently ranked as the 4th most-watched cable network in the United States, so it’s almost certain that “Mediterranean Life” will deliver abundant exposure for already thriving Croatian tourism.
