American fashion designer Marc Jacobs seems to like the red and white checks made famous by Croatia.
A couple of years ago, Marc Jacobs’ mercer slip on sneakers looked as if they had been specially designed for the Croatian football fan. The shoe featured the red and white checks combined with blue and white, bearing a striking resemblance to the Croatian flag.
Now one of the most popular bags of the season, the Marc Jacobs Snapshot camera bag, has gone ‘Croatian’, Diva writes.
The bag, which is Marc Jacobs’ best-selling snapshot small camera bag, came in a variety of colours, with the latest addition featuring the red and white checkers.
“The mini crossbody bag features the double J logo and removable straps for a chic clutch option. The compact bag is our best-selling Snapshot Small Camera Bag. Our newest addition is finished in a sparkly checkerboard for a different kind of statement.”
Marc Jacobs, who has over 200 retail stores in 80 countries, was the creative director of the French design house Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2014. He was on Time magazine’s “2010 Time 100” list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
