26 April 2019 – The new ACI marina in Rovinj has officially opened on Friday.
With over 150 million kuna, the new ACI marina Rovinj is the largest investment in the history of ACI and one of the largest in the nautical tourism sector in Croatia. The reconstruction of the marina, which was built way back in 1984, began in April 2017, and the only thing that has not been changed are the dimensions set by the concession contract, whereas everything else was built anew.
The visual identity has been completely transformed, and the concept of the marina – as a significant step forward in terms of standards in nautical tourism, the amenities the marina provides and services it offers to boaters – is infused with exclusiveness in every detail, which, considering the remarkable tourist boom Rovinj has seen in the last ten years or so, is what the city needs and deserves.
The marine part of the marina is divided into two basins – one for visiting boats, and the other for boats moored on an annual berth. There is a total of 196 berths intended for boats of an average length of 17 m, with the possibility of accommodating boats of up to 35 m in length on annual berths and boats of significantly greater lengths on short-term visitor berths.
Only the second in Croatia, the marina has been awarded the high rating of five anchors, which guarantees clients the highest level of quality in terms of meeting a variety of special requirements and high standards regarding the equipment and the features of the spaces in which the services are provided, the ways in which they are provided, the amenities offered by the marina and, ultimately, in terms of adhering to the principles of environmental protection in daily business.
Prime minister Adrej Plenković, ministers Gari Cappelli, Oleg Butković, Predrag Stromar and ACI president Kristijan Pavić attended the opening today in Rovinj.
