VUKOVAR, 5 May, 2019 – The second ‘SVI zaJEDNO HRVATSKO NAJ’ festival of non-material cultural heritage, tourist events, attractions and destinations opened in Vukovar on 3 May.
“Presentation of cultural heritage, eno-gastro offerings from Croatia, children’s programs and creative workshops, various attractions and presentations of tourist manifestations and destinations, street theatres, various performers and concerts along with the dance group performances is good entertainment for the whole family at this truly unique festival which again unites the whole of Croatia,” said author and producer of the project Aleksandar Kovačević.
This year’s festival also has an international flavour with guests from neighbouring countries joining in as well. Vukovar streets and squares have been full this weekend and locals and visitors have also been attracted by evening concerts, including from Prljavo Kazalište, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Miroslav Skoro, Jure Stublić and the Film, Jurica Pađen and Aerodrom, Kries Group and other names.
The festival was opened by President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, whilst other guest included representatives from the government and former Croatia football coach Miroslav Blažević.
“Vukovar symbolises unity and this is indeed the right place and the right time to present this unity to the fullest with the richness and intangible cultural heritage we are trying to preserve it and present it to the world right in this city. My thanks to all who have contributed to the realisation of this event as well as to all the participants. The results come from hard work and fellowship, and I’m sure that in the years ahead this festival will continue to grow,” Vukovar mayor Ivan Penava said.
The festival ends on Sunday evening with a concert from Miroslav Skoro. More details here https://svizajedno.eu
