6 May 2019 – A new service set to offer an exciting new visitor experience for leisure and business travellers to Croatia is set to launch this month.
Commercial helicopter service CroatiAmore, founded by helicopter captain Laura Protat will launch in early May. Based in Dubrovnik, CroatiAmore will offer a range of services, including accessible scenic tours, a shuttle service and private trips to Croatian islands and other destinations.
CroatiAmore will offer 15-minute scenic helicopter tours of Dubrovnik and its surrounding islands for €150 pp.
The flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays between 5 pm – 7 pm, enabling tourists to experience Dubrovnik from a whole new angle.
There will also be a shuttle service operating between Dubrovnik and Tivat in Montenegro. The flights, using a shared cost system, will take just 20 minutes.
Private charter trips to other locations in Croatia will also be available as well as helicopter trips for photoshoots.
“Hvar is known now as the “Ibiza of the Adriatic” and our clients are usually high-end families or yacht and jet owners who are finding it difficult to reach Croatian islands. We will be providing fast transfers between Dubrovnik and Hvar in just 50 minutes instead of 5 to 6 hours. I’m very excited also about the Dubrovnik Tour as it is the first service of this kind in the Old Town. The Old Town of Dubrovnik from above is just breathtaking,” founder Laura Protat says.
CroatiAmore will use the Robinson 66 – turbine helicopter, which has a capacity of 4 passengers for its operations.
Protat, who commenced her aviation career as a helicopter pilot almost 20 years ago, is looking forward to providing new visitor experiences.
“CroatiAmore is a brand that I created linking the love I have for Croatia and the one for my home country, Italy. ‘Amore’ means love in Italian and ‘More’ means sea in Croatian, a perfect fit,” she concludes.
