First ever Ryanair flight lands in Dubrovnik

2 June 2019 – Europe’s largest low-cost airline, Ryanair, has landed in Dubrovnik, Croatia for the first time on Sunday.
A Ryanair Boeing 737-800 with 186 passengers on board in the popular Dalmatian tourist city on Sunday from Dublin. Ryanair will operate flights between Dublin and Dubrovnik four times a week until 25 October.
For a number of years Ryanair had been attempted to operate at Dubrovnik Airport but have failed to agree on terms.
Ryanair has expanded its services in Croatia this year by launching flights between Dublin and Dubrovnik and Split.
Ryanair also announced 11 other new services from Dublin Airport for the summer to Bodrum, Bordeaux, Bournemouth, Caligari, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Kyiv, London Southend, Lourdes, Luxembourg and Thessaloniki.
Ireland’s flag carrier airline Aer Lingus commenced a new direct service from Cork to Dubrovnik in May this year. The new route from Cork to Dubrovnik operates twice weekly.
