8 July 2020 – Some promotion for Croatia in these testing times for tourism with the French edition of Vogue magazine, Vogue Paris, publishing a list of the 8 most beautiful beaches in Croatia for swimming.
Like most lists about Croatian beaches, Zlatni rat on the island of Brač is on the list and described as a favourite’ summer destination not only because of the clear, turquoise water but also because of the water sports.
“Also known as the Golden Horn, this stretch of sand, just west of the town of Bol, is one of Croatia’s most loved summer spots, not just for its turquoise waters, but for the multitude of watersports on offer, whether its sailing or kayaking you’re after,” Vogue Paris writes.
There was also a place on the list for Stiniva beach on the island of Vis. The beach, which was voted the most beautiful in Europe a few years ago, is praised for being an amazing piece of nature.
“A soldiers’ hide-out during World War II, Stiniva is today considered one of Croatia’s most beautiful islands. Nestled in a quiet creek, access by land is tricky, but that makes finding it all the more sweet,” Vogue Paris says.
The beach at Little Green Bay on Hvar, as well as Dubovica also on Hvar, Banje in Dubrovnik, Punta Rata in Brela, Nugal beach and Betina cave also made the cut.
