Actress Salma Hayek arrives in Split

22 July 2019 – Actress Salma Hayek (52) has arrived in Croatia for the second time in a few months. 

In April and May this year, Hayek spent time in Rovinj, Rijeka and Zagreb filming ‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ with Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds.

Today, the Frida and Desperado star was in Split on the set of the ‘mind-bending romancer’ Bliss which is being filmed in Croatia, Dnevnik.hr exclusively reports.

Hayek joins up with Owen Wilson, who arrived in Split on Friday afternoon, to star in the film being shot for Amazon Studios and Endgame Entertainment.

Mike Cahill is directing the movie which sees Wilson plays a recent divorcee, Greg, whose life is falling apart as he meets an enchanting woman, Isabel, played by Hayek, who lives on the streets and is convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is not real. Isabel insists they live in an ugly, harsh world simulation inside of the beautiful, peaceful real world of bliss. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild theory.

Hayek, who will also star alongside Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne in Paramount comedy Limited Partners, was not shy telling fans on social media how much she enjoyed her time in Croatia earlier this year.
