PHOTOS: 55th Porcijunkulovo opens in Čakovec

ČAKOVEC, 31 July 2019 – The biggest cultural-tourist manifesto in the northwest of Croatia opened on Tuesday in Međimurje.
The 55th Porcijunkulovo opened in the city of Čakovec and will take place until 4 August. More than 300,000 visitors from Croatia and around the world are expected to take part in the festivities.
The first night of the festival was marked with a concert from pop singer Jelena Rozga.
Visitors this year are able to enjoy again in a number various fun events, with the town covered again in thousands of colourful umbrellas, which have been a trademark of the event. Last year over 3,000 umbrellas were put up.
Concerts, workshops, presentations of old crafts, talk shows and shows for the kids, presentation of autochthonous wines and other products, street music and much more are part of this year’s programme.
