A lot of well-known Croatian musicians, such as Severina, Nina Badric and Prljavo Kazaliste, have taken the cash on offer and performed across the border in Serbia recently, but one of the legends of the Croatian music scene for over 4 decades has turned down an offer to perform in Serbia of close to a quarter of a million euros.
Oliver Dragojevic has refused a 200,000 euro pay-day to perform a concert in the Serbian capital Belgrade, reports Slobodna Dalmacija.
“I am friends with Oliver. I called him to perform a concert at the Marakana in Belgrade. I even found an agency who offered him 200,000 euros. Oliver told me that “If I went to Belgrade, I would not be able to come back to Split”, said Serbian singer Oliver Mandic.
“No, I will not perform in Serbia because I made that decision a long time ago. For me the story is over,” said Oliver when asked to comment on the story.
