Katarina Mamic crowned new Miss World Croatia

MALI LOSINJ, 31 AUGUST 2019 – 22-year-old Katarina Mamic has been crowned the new Miss World Croatia at the Miss World Croatia pageant in Mali Losinj on Saturday night.
Katarina, representing the Lika-Senj County, beat 14 other finalists to become the 28th beauty who will represent Croatia at the prestigious pageant.
Katarina is a journalism student who does modelling in her spare time. She loves kids and enjoys spending time with them. If she won the lottery, she says she would invest in education.
The first runner-up was Marija Rogic from Zagreb, whilst Iva Mijolovic from Zadar County was the second runner-up. Miss Photogenic, selected by the readers of portal zena.hr, went to Tea Pavicic from Slavonski Brod.
It was the first time that the Miss World Croatia pageant was held on the island of Losinj. The evening programme was led by Ursula Tolj, whilst there were performances during the night by Antonija Dora Plesko and Damir Kedzo.
The 14 finalists wore shoes from Shoe Selection, and collections from Galko, Lella Design, Zoran Aragovic and Ivica Skoko. Make-up was done by Profokus, whilst salon Marcela took care of the hair.
The new Miss World Croatia won a scholarship at the Business uni in Zagreb, the use of the Opel Mokka X vehicle for one year, cosmetics from Ziaja, Silky for hair, a year free service at salon Marcela, one year use of services at MBS centre, shoes from Shoe Selection to the value of 2500kn, and gifts from jewellery shop Prahir, Muller, Amarthina collection, Essence cosmetics, Profokus, Topusko, Dr. Zgaljardic, Poliklinika Niveus, and Blista.
Katarina will represent Croatia at the Miss World 2019, the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, on December 14, 2019 at the ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom.
