Fešta – The Croatian Food & Wine Festival is celebrating it’s 16th year running later this month in the Australian city of Adelaide.
“As a community, we couldn’t be more proud of how this event has grown, enhanced and become the biggest event in our community’s calendar,” organisers said ahead of the event which will be held this year on November 23.
The Croatian Food and Wine Festival is an opportunity to not only welcome Croatians from all over Australia, but also an opportunity to showcase the wonderful culture to other communities and anyone else who wishes to experience a taste of Croatian culture.
“We pride ourselves on this event being volunteer based and we would like to take the time to thank all our wonderful volunteers who continue to support this event year after year. Without them, Fešta would simply not be possible.”
Along with the volunteers, the Fešta executive committee as well as the Croatian Sports Centre Committee also spend countless hours preparing for this one-day event.
“If you have a chance to attend, you’ll have the opportunity to roam around our grounds and experience live music, the aroma of traditional Croatian food, kids entertainment, traditional dancing and for the first time, our very own singing competition. Our event will run through to the night and we look forward to our fireworks display and welcoming back Melbourne band Major Minor and DJ Stokes, both entertainers who never fail to end Fešta on a high.
The gates will open at 11am on Saturday November 23rd.
“We extend a very warm invitation to all to come and join us for a family-friendly event that will give you a wonderful insight into why we have so much pride in our Croatian heritage. Vidimo se!”
