Chocolate festival to take place in Opatija on 6-8 Dec

ZAGREB, Dec 5 (Hina) – The Opatija Chocolate Festival will take place in that northern Adriatic resort on 6-8 December, featuring the best Croatian and international chocolate brands.
The local tourist authorities on Wednesday presented the programme of the three-day festival during which exhibitors, including small specialised manufacturers, will present the best of their products in the Gervais Centre.
The programme includes events such as workshops, lectures, tastings, concerts and exhibitions dedicated to chocolate, and the venues will be Opatija’s hotels and restaurants, art galleries, exhibition pavilions, museums and schools.
An exhibition called “A walk through the history of chocolate” will also be staged.
Choco sculptor Antonio Licitra will put his chocolate sculptures on display.
Visitors will be able to enjoy chocolate treatments in wellness centres as well as taste unusual food combinations such as choco gnocchi with shrimp sauce, polenta with a white chocolate sauce, etc.
Apart from local participants, exhibitors from Slovenia and Italy will also take part in the festival the motto of which is “Let Chocolate Reign!”
