December in Gospić
‘December in Gospić’, the most joyful month of the year, is the biggest Advent event in Croatia’s Lika-Senj County.
With snow falling last week, locals and tourists have been enjoying Advent festivities with a real Christmas atmosphere in Lika. The 26-day ‘December in Gospic’ manifesto started with the opening for the first time of a skating rink in the town.
On Stjepan Radić Square in the centre of Gosipić, concerts, performances, workshops, entertainment for kids, exhibitions and much more are taking place over 26 days in December.
Gospić will also host the most famous Croatian professional fairy tale storyteller, Jasna Held, Santa Claus will arrive in town, and the newly opened skating rink will be used to host shows on ice.
The New Year’s Eve party in Lika will start at noon with the performance of Croatian music legend Kićo Slabinac and the TS Patriots.
