Croatia Gets Its First BBQ Festival

In Croatia you will find festivals for everything..music, truffles, wine, village products, film, cheese, traditional dancing, olives, and even a festival for ‘nothing’ which was held on the island of Ugljen last summer where visitors came to enjoy “nothing”. Now Croatia will hold its first ever official BBQ Festival this spring.
From 1-4 May at Zagreb’s Lake Jarun the 1st Croatian BBQ Festival will take place. Organisers say there will be plenty of surprises on during the 4-day festival, including a kilometre long BBQ, competitions, workshops and celebrity appearances. After copious amounts of cevapi, sausages and pljeskavica are eaten there will be a series of evening concerts.
