ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) –Â Croatia’s authorities said on Monday morning that there had been 52 new cases of the coronavirus infection in the country, and the tally stood now at 306.
Health Minister Vili Beros said that samples of 2,645 suspected cases had been tested to date.
As for a state of hospitals in the centre of Zagreb which was hit by a few strong quakes on Sunday morning, Beros said that the Jordanovac clinic for respiratory diseases did not seem fit to take in patients and therefore 36 patients had been transferred from that building to the university clinical centre in Zagreb. Also, the clinic for orthopaedic care at Salata was not in a satisfactory state.
All other things are functioning in an orderly manner, said Beros.
Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic announced stricter measures, announcing the closure of farm produce markets and banning people from leaving their place of residence. All inter-city travel is also banned.
