ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) – Canadian accounting software company FreshBooks will open a development centre in Croatia to strengthen its presence in Europe, and they will hire a number of IT professionals and Croatian talents, the firm has reported.
The company has not yet revealed how much they plan to invest in the Croatian office. The centre is to be opened at the beginning of May, and it will employ 40 to 50 IT professionals and talents, exculsively from Croatia.
FreshBooks is a cloud based accounting software for small and medium-sized businesses offering tools for bookkeeping and accounting, invoicing, reporting etc.
The service can be used from home, which is extremely important at a time when self-isolation and quarantine have become the reality, the company says.
They also underscore that improving the platform is precisely what the development team in Croatia will be working on and that they expect new clients from all over the world once the new development centre starts working.
FreshBooks was founded in 2004 in Toronto, and most of its paying customers are from the USA and Canada, where it is, the company says, one of the top three online accounting services. The software has been used by about 20 million people.
The service is currently available in 160 countries, and we chose Croatia for the development centre because of its potential and culture, the company says, adding that they already have a development centre in Europe, in Amsterdam.
