ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) – After the national COVID-19 crisis management team on Friday decided to allow the reopening of indoor sections of farmers’ markets in cities, there were not so many visitors as before in those locations on Saturday, the Vecernji List daily reported on Sunday.
The daily newspaper comments that a small number of visitors to those markets could be ascribed both to the fear of the coronavirus infection and to the fact that not all were informed about the reopening of those sites.
In Zagreb’s Dolac, shoppers were required to clean their hands with sanitising gel before entering the premises. All sellers wore protective masks and gloves.
Rijeka’s Placa opened only its sections for meat and dairy products. Placa, a vibrant Saturday market, became unrecognisable to itself in the morning this Saturday, the Vecernji List daily wrote.
