ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) – The Croatian Employers’ Association on Wednesday welcomed the decision of the national COVID-19 crisis management team to allow longer working hours of shops on the three days before Easter.
The crisis management team thus granted the HUP’s request for the extension of working hours of shops on Thursday, Friday and Saturday so that they could be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on those three days.
Currently, retail shops and grocery shops are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to the coronavirus.
Having in mind a rising demand ahead of Easter, the HUP requested longer working hours so as to reduce queues outside shops, since a restricted number of shoppers is allowed inside in proportion to the size of shop facilities.
The HUP also urges customers to strictly stick to the rules imposed by the crisis management team on social distancing and other preventive measures aimed at curbing the infection.
