ZAGREB, April 30 (Hina) – The Parliament on Thursday adopted the law on the suspension of enforced collection actions on wages and pensions as well as a law on increasing the eligibility threshold for supplementary health insurance which would be financed from the budget.
The suspension of enforced collection is envisaged during specific circumstances caused by the coronavirus epidemic.
Due to the reduction of social contacts in police stations because of COVID-19, the parliament also amended two laws to extend the validity of stay and work permits for foreigners for 30 days until the end of the epidemic.
The amendments refer to the law on foreigners and the law on citizens of European Economic Area member states and members of their families. There are 66,582 foreigners from third countries and 12,477 from the EEA in Croatia currently.
