ZAGREB, April 30 (Hina) – The government on Thursday decided to limit the retail price of protective face masks to HRK 12.
The government amended its decision initially adopted in March on extraordinary price controlling measures for certain products aimed at securing the health and lives of people in regard to the outbreak of the COVID-19 disease, deciding that the price of protective face masks be limited to HRK 12.
It also commissioned the State Inspectorate to, in cooperation with the Croatian Public Health Institute, prepare a declaration and information related to manufacturing face masks in line with the relevant regulations.
“Seeing that launching economic activities means more intensive movement by citizens, it is essential to secure a sufficient number of face masks for protection and to prevent the spread of the virus in stores, public transport and other public areas, depending on the government’s measures,” Economy Minister Darko Horvat said adding that the revised government decision is aimed at providing accessibility to protective equipment.
