Croatia reports 15 new cases in the last 24 hours

ZAGREB, May 9, 2020 – There have been 15 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said at Saturday’s press conference.
Today’s new cases bring the total tally of cases to 2,176. Since late February, Croatia has conducted 44,218 tests, including 840 in the last 24 hours.
There has been 1 COVID-19-related fatality in the last 24 hours, a man born in 1950 in Osijek who had underlying medical issues.
The current death toll stands at 87.
The new cases were reported were in the Koprivnica- Križevci (8), Brod-Posavina (5) and Split-Dalmatia (2) counties.
The number of patients currently on ventilators is 13. There have been 1,726 recoveries to date.
There are 16,749 people currently in self-isolation.
Because of the situation on the island of Brač, where 22 people were infected on Friday, a decision was made that it would be forbidden to move around the island without an e-pass and people would have to stay in their registered place of residence for the next 14 days.
It is also forbidden to leave the island of Brač without an e-pass for the next 14 days, Krunoslav Capak, head of the Croatian Institute of Public Health said.
