Two new cases in last 24 hours, Croatia’s recovery rate now over 85%

ZAGREB, May 17, 2020 – There have been 2 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said in a statement on Sunday.
Today’s new cases bring the total tally of cases to 2,226. The new cases were reported in the Split-Dalmatia and Koprivnica-Križevci counties.
There have been no COVID-19-related fatalities in the last 24 hours. The current death toll stands at 95.
There have been 1,936 recoveries to date, 23 more than yesterday. This means there are currently 195 active COVID-19 cases in Croatia. So far, a total of 728 recovered in hospital and have been released, whilst 1,172 people have recovered at home.
There are 130 people currently in hospital, 7 less than yesterday, with 10 patients currently on a ventilator.
The recovery rate in Croatia is just over 86% now.
Since late February, Croatia has conducted 53,877 tests, including 1019 in the last 24 hours.
