ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) – Campsites as well as some of the hotels in Istria, Kvarner and Dalmatia will open their doors until the end of this month, while in June, a majority of hotels and other tourist accommodation facilities will be opened, the Croatian Association of Tourism (HUT) said in a press release on Saturday.
The press release recalls that the Croatian tourism sector has, with the HUT assistance, prepared a plan for the opening of businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector and also made public recommendations for arrivals of travellers in Croatia after Minister Gari Cappelli presented a roadmap for launching the summer season with the measures facilitating the travel and entry of the Slovenians, Austrians, Hungarians, Czechs and Slovaks into Croatia in May.
During June, Croatia is supposed to open its borders for Germans and Poles and after that for nationals from other countries with a similarly favourable epidemiological situation after the COVID-19 epidemic decreases.
Commenting on the arrivals of first guests in the recent weeks, the HUT recalls while crossing into Croatia, foreigners are supposed to show the copies of their bookings in the country and they are also given leaflets with the epidemiological instructions which they should comply with.
The HUT notes that an application for travellers will be soon prepared to facilitate the smooth travel and make it possible for guests to announce their arrival in Croatia so that they can pass border crossings’ controls faster.
The association highlights that hoteliers and employees in the tourist trade are ready to welcome more and more guests in the coming weeks,
All higher epidemiological standards for a safe stay of guests are in place.
Foreigners interested in coming to Croatia can find more information at the interior ministry’s website and its section [email protected].
