ZAGREB, 30 June 2020 – A new direct train service between Prague and Rijeka launches this afternoon.
RegioJet’s new Prague to Rijeka train service leaves Prague at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon and arrives in the Croatian port city of Rijeka at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
The service has proved popular since tickets went on sale earlier this month.
“There have been more than 30,000 tickets sold for the new service,” Novi List writes.
The capacity of the train, which stops in Brno and Bratislava, is 560 passengers with the ticket costing 22 euros. Tickets for a bed are 8 euros more expensive.
RegioJet’s spokesman Aleks Ondruj told Jutarnji List earlier that two lines had been sold out for July and if such interest remained the company might increase the number of lines during the summer.
Starting off, the Prague to Rijeka train service will run three times a week between June 30 and September 26.
The train departs from Prague at 17:20 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with stops in Pardubice, Brno, Bratislava and Ljubljana, and returns on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday.
