Croatia reports 71 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

ZAGREB, July 29, 2020 – There were 71 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said on Wednesday at a press conference in Zagreb.
Today’s new cases bring the total number of cases since the start to 4,993.
There are currently 749 active cases in Croatia and there have been 4,099 recoveries so far.
There was one new COVID-19-related fatality reported in the last 24 hours. The current death toll stands at 141.
There are 132 people in hospital and 8 patients currently on a ventilator.
Since late February, Croatia has conducted 115,722 tests, including 1,632 in the last 24 hours. The average age of infected persons is 46.9 years.
Most of the active cases are still in the capital Zagreb, Vukovar-Srijem, Osijek-Baranja and Split-Dalmatia counties.
The national crisis management team said most new cases were related to bachelor parties, weddings and funerals.
