UEFA Rankings: Dinamo Zagreb among top 50 clubs in Europe

ZAGREB, 22 August 2020 – Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb has been ranked among the top 50 clubs in Europe in the latest UEFA club coefficient rankings which have just been released.

Dinamo Zagreb shares 48th place on the list with Italian club Atalanta on the rankings. The UEFA club coefficient rankings are based on the results of all European clubs in UEFA club competition and are used to determine a club’s seeding in club competition draws.

In the past five years, Dinamo Zagreb has been in the Champions League three times and made the last 16 of the Europa League. These results have helped propel the club in the top 50.

If Dinamo Zagreb can beat CFR Cluj in the second round of Champions League qualifying, they will be seeded in the third round thanks to their ranking. They will also be seeded should they advance to the playoffs.

Champions League finalists Bayern Munich was the number one ranked club in Europe, followed by Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
