Germany adds Zadar County to travel advice list

ZAGREB, Sept 3 (Hina) – Germany has added Zadar County to its new list of epidemiologically risky regions, warning its nationals against travel to that area due to an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases.
The Robert Koch Institute on Wednesday added Zadar to the list of high-risk regions, along with Sibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties, popular tourist destinations.
The warning does not constitute a ban but it suggests that travellers reconsider their plans and makes it possible for them to cancel travel without additional costs.
Germany considers as high-risk areas in those countries or regions where 50 or more cases of infection with the novel coronavirus per 100,000 people have been recorded over a period of seven days.
Holidaymakers returning from a high-risk area have to get tested for the coronavirus and self-isolate until they get their test result.
The German foreign affairs ministry on August 20 issued a warning against travel to Sibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties due to an increase in the number of new infections.
