ZAGREB, Sept 24 (Hina) – The Fortenova Group said on Tuesday that it had received a number of non-binding bids for its Ledo Plus, Ledo Citluk, and Fricom frozen food companies, which constitute the group’s Frozen Food segment, and that a decision would be made by mid-October.
Fortenova Group CEO and Management Board member Fabris Perusko said that the group’s goal was to choose a strategic partner that would contribute as much as possible to the further development of the group’s Frozen Food segment.
Fortenova Group chief financial officer James Pearson has said that if agreed, the sale of the group’s frozen food business would result in a reduction of the group’s debt, which would change its financial status.
That would then enable investment in the remaining businesses so that we can encourage their future growth, he said.
As well as being popular for frozen fish, vegetables, pasta, and ready-meals, Ledo’s range of ice creams includes the King, Maximo, Macho, and Snjeguljica brands.
