The British Telegraph has compiled a list of the 50 greatest beaches in the world, featuring a popular Croatian spot.
The beach in question is Zlatni Rat in Bol, on the island of Brač, which is among Croatia’s most beautiful and well-known beaches.
This pebbly beach is approximately 400 metres long and is enhanced by a dense pine forest in the background.
Due to its prominent location, favourable winds attract windsurfing enthusiasts.
“The shape-shifting shoreline of Croatia’s Zlatni Rat beach is known by the locals as the Golden Horn. A 20-minute morning stroll along Bol’s promenade brings visitors to a breezy pine-lined paradise at Brač’s southernmost point, with a string of bars and eateries set back from the pebbles.
The 500-yard-long spit reaches into the Adriatic amid frothy waves and clusters of avid windsurfers. Expert’s highlight: The clear water in the shallows is ideal for snorkelling,” writes The Telegraph.
Renowned for its unusual shape and clear waters, this beach is also a favourite among families, which The Telegraph highlights.
