‘Above Average’ Autumn Expected in Croatia

After a hot July and in some parts a ‘extemely hot’ August, meteorologists in Croatia have announced that September and autumn will be ‘above average’. According to the state met office, temperatures were 1.5 – 2.5°C warmer than average on the Adriatic coast in August. Records fell for ‘highest recorded temperature’ in the towns of Ogulin, Rijeka, Senj and on the islands of Rab and Pag, and meteorologists have forecasted the warm temperatures to continue throughout autumn in Croatia. September, October and November are expected to be warmer than the average, however more rainfall than usual is also expected.
