SPLIT, 19 July 2019 – American actor Owen Wilson has arrived in the Croatian coastal city of Split on Friday.
Wilson arrived at Split Airport on Friday just after 4 pm on a commercial Lufthansa flight, Dalmacija Danas reported. Wilson was spotted later in the afternoon by a fan in a supermarket in the centre of Split and was happy to pose for a photo.
The Zoolander and Wedding Crashers star is in Split to shoot a new film. Wilson will be joined by Salma Hayek as the ‘mind-bending romancer’ movie Bliss starts filming on Split’s waterfront, and at Prokurativa next week.
The film which is being shot for Amazon Studios and Endgame Entertainment also in Los Angeles, is directed by Mike Cahill.
Wilson plays a recent divorcee, Greg, whose life is falling apart as he meets an enchanting woman, Isabel, played by Hayek, who lives on the streets and is convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is not real. Isabel insists they live in an ugly, harsh world simulation inside of the beautiful, peaceful real world of bliss. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild theory.
Hayek, was in Croatia earlier this year filming The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
The Frida and Desperado star was not shy telling fans on social media how much she enjoyed her time in Croatia and will no doubt be excited to return.
