Advent in Zadar magic returns after two years

Advent magic returns to the Zadar peninsula and brings a beautiful Christmas atmosphere with lots of good fun in store.
Lots of events, special programs, good food, entertainment for children and parents with concerts are highlights of the sixth edition of Advent in Zadar. As before, the organizers of the event are the City of Zadar, the Tourist Board of the City of Zadar and the Zadar Market.
In addition to the additionally decorated promenade in the atrium of the Cedulin Palace and at the Forum, the central place of action will again be Petar Zoranić and Pet bunara squares, which house 24 little Advent houses with food and drink and an attractive open-air concert stage.
Caterers will prepare interesting and delicious delicacies in the Advent houses, among which, in addition to the usual winter offer, there will also be real eno-gastro surprises, organisers said.
The 36-day event begins on Friday, November 26 with a big concert from Pips, Chips & Videoclips, and the next day, on Saturday, November 27, Rockatansky Band will perform at the same place. In case of bad weather, the organizers will try to hold concerts at a later time.

The fair will host a daily entertainment program from 5 pm to midnight, while during the morning hours, except for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the Advent houses will be closed.
On weekends, famous musical names such as Daleka obala, Bang Bang Band, Neno Belan and Fiumens, Massimo Savić, Forum, Cambi, Đani Maršan and the team from the TV show A strana – Vjeko Ključarić, Eni Jurišić, Dino Purić, Bruna Oberan.
Due to epidemiological measures, the Advent Fair area will be fenced and secured, and it will be possible to access it through two entrances. One is located near the Providur Palace, and the other above Stratico Street from the direction of the former Technical School. The stairs leading from the Maritime School to the Pet bunara Square will serve as a passage corridor to the Park of Queen Jelena Madijevka and Ledana Lounge & Bar.
In order to ensure greater attendance, a place for rapid antigen testing for Covid-19 has been organized at the Providur Palace for all those who do not have an EU Covid certificate.
As in previous years, during the holiday season, some traders, caterers and cultural institutions will participate in the event ‘Điru po gradu’. Numerous restaurants will offer special menus at affordable prices, shops interesting offers, promotions and discounts, museums additional programs and promotions for tickets and souvenirs. HNK Zadar, Zadar Puppet Theater and the Concert Office will also offer discounts on tickets for their programs.
“Đir po gradu” is a project organized by the City of Zadar together with partner institutions: the Association of Craftsmen Zadar, the Tourist Board of the City of Zadar, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – Zadar County Chamber and the Zadar County Chamber of Crafts.
