Advent in Zagreb: 3 new locations revealed

In just over 3 weeks the award-winning Advent in Zagreb will start. 

Voted Best European Christmas Market for the last three years, Advent in Zagreb will feature three more locations than last year. 

The magical atmosphere around the city will start with the Christmas lights being turned which will signal the start of Advent in Zagreb on December 1. 

Advent events will once again be held at locations around the city like the Trg Ban Jelačić, Zrinjevac, Tomislavac, Bogovićeva street, Strossmayer and European square until 6 January 2019. You can check out the events here.

Three new locations this year have been added. They are:

Advent in the Sisters Baković Passage

Wander into an old film studio, where you will feel like the leading actor or actress on the set of a Christmas film while the Europa Cinema shows Christmas films for all generations.

Advent Stara Tkalča

Discover ancient Zagreb and experience the spirit of the oldest parts of the city, the neighboring districts of Gradec and Kaptol and the oldest street in Zagreb! The artisans’ workshops and their ancient crafts and the sounds of old Zagreb songs will momentarily flash you back to the past of the old Zagreb, allowing you to take your own special photograph and send it out to the world.

Advent in Maksimir

This new location was envisioned for the whole family in cooperation with the Zagreb Zoo. The rich variety of quality educational and fun programs for children, along with programs and a selection of offers for grown-ups, will thrill all visitors who wish to enjoy the magic of the Advent season with their kids.
